Ghostly Pets, Phantom Felines and Haunted Hounds By Elliot O’Donnell
I was really excited to read this book. I have always been interested in this side of the paranormal. Because I love animals so much I have always wanted to know if they really do haunt. Do they have a soul? (My opinion is yes BTW)
I must admit that I was really disappointed in this book. I tried to love it, but the writing is to scattered for me to be able to get into what they are writing about.
The first part is written by Diane Tessman. She runs an animal sanctuary. The first few pages read like a commercial for animal adoption and saving the planet. Which is all well and good, but I thought I would be reading about phantom animals! Her writing isn’t difficult to read however so I was able to get into the rest of her stories.
She is a psychic with a special connection to animals. Her stories about reincarnation of her dog, the psychic abilities of cats and her special connection to animals in need are really very interesting.
The rest of the book, I’m sad to say, is so hard to read that you have to go back and re-read whole pages again so you can try to understand what he is saying. There are FAR to many comma’s and hyphens, most of which are used improperly. In one LONG sentence, (Could have been three perfectly fine sentences’) I counted 7 comma’s. This makes it very difficult to understand. There is no rhythm as you’re reading because you are constantly pausing.
It also reads as if the writer had a thesaurus next to him as he wrote and looked to find obscure and smart sounding words to replace MANY regular, everyday words. The curious words take away so much from the story telling. As you are reading you stop to wonder why that word was used. Does he REALLY talk like this? It would be overlook-able if it was a word here and there, but I noticed multiple examples per paragraph. It was definitely written by someone trying WAY TO HARD to sound smart.
Maybe it is just me. You may well find no difficulty in reading this.
Another thing that makes this book difficult is that the writer often goes off topic and rambles. You have to back up and try to remember what his original line of thinking was in order to get his point.
Other then the writing the content is interesting. This book covers animals from cats and dogs, to cows, pigs, and apes! Talk about scaring the crap out of you. Can you imagine seeing, not just a ghost, but an APE ghost???
In conclusion, this book contains very interesting subject matter, unfortunately I couldn’t get into it because of the writing. You may well have no problem however.

Mind Controlled Sex Slaves And The CIA By: Tracy R. Twyman
Okay, I wasn’t expecting much from this book. I admit, I judged this book by it’s cover. I was expecting a book filled to the brim with nonsense, paranoid conspiracies, and poor writing. I was pleasantly surprised.
This book, while it is filled with conspiracy theories, approaches it from a very unbiased perspective. There are some things in here that I find incredibly interesting. The sex slave conspiracy with the big wigs of politics is VERY intriguing. I don’t normal go for conspiracy type stuff, but I was compelled to read this thru because it actually reads like a sort of documentary.
So yes, some of the claims are HIGHLY unbelievable. Like Bill and Hilary Clinton’s use of Sex Slaves….Bill Okay, but Hilary? I can’t even picture her having sex!
The part about George Bush Senior being involved in satanic blood rights is a little far fetched too. But hey, it’s a conspiracy book. Maybe it’s all true, maybe just a little is true, or maybe none of it is true.
The point is that even if you are not into conspiracy reads, this one may pull you in, especially if you like documentaries.
I was also grateful that the writing is done well. Easy to read and all the details are spelled out for you so you don’t have to try and figure out which conspiracy or CIA project is being referred to.
If you like conspiracy reads, want to learn about CIA secret projects like Project Monarch from the 50’s – 70’s, or you just like a good documentary read, this one may do the trick for you.

Secrets Of Death Valley, Mysteries And Haunts Of The Mojave Dessert Edited By: Timothy Green Beckley
This book is great. It has something in it for everyone. UFOs, Cryptozoology, ghosts, unsolved mysteries, and even a Lost Ship of the Vikings!
This book has got some really good pictures and the “medium” type messages from Extra-terrestrials dictated in journal fashion is really intriguing. I’m not much of a UFO buff, but I found this part to be like peeking at a secret conversation about the unknown.
I read some things in here that I had heard before, but for the most part all the haunts are new information to me that will warrant further research. I liken this book to a collection of campfire tales. Some spooky, some funny, some mysterious.
I have never been to California, and to be honest, I never plan to go! I have an irrational distain for California and it’s wakos. But if I ever have the unfortunate experience of travel there I will make it a priority to visit the Mojave Dessert.
*No offense California, but you guys are nut jobs!*
The stories in the book are written by many different sources so naturally some writing is better then others, but I found no particular story to be hard to read or understand. All in all I enjoyed this book and found it to be very entertaining and quite intriguing at the same time.
